Title:  Treating Sleep Problems in Young Children

Description:  Sleep disturbances are among the most common problems encountered in young children, affecting up to 30% of typically developing children. The statistics are even higher for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or an Intellectual Disability. The bottom line is that sleep disturbances exist in young children at a remarkably high percentage regardless of diagnosis. As a result, it is important for Behavior Analysts to have an understanding of the different types of sleep disturbances most commonly experienced, the variables that maintain them, as well as the best methodologies that are available to treat them. This course is meant to help practitioners identify the type of sleep disturbance a child is experiencing and guide them in picking the most effective intervention.
