Hello-

I HAVE to write you all and show some love-and tears of great joy and happiness- for what you have done to help our son. It's like you've unlocked this child, and given us the formula for bringing him back to us!  Forget thanking you, we owe you everything.

After only three weeks with CARD, some of  the amazing things we've seen:

  • He looks at us; calls us out and shares games and his ideas-unheard of before your help.
  • He answers me when I ask him a question, and he TALKS to other children at school, at the pool, I just can't believe it.
  • Dad got a 'bye dad-see you later-have a good day at work'
  • His teacher got a 'I have to go to the bathroom now'
  • I got an 'I love you Mom-you're nice'
  • and...he's reading the books we usually read together at night. Out loud. And knows what the words mean.

The fundamental changes in his confidence are amazing. He is confident and happy, he likes Sarah, Kisha, Kelley, Jessica and Jennifer, and works hard to learn. It helps tremendously that writing things down for him opens up the world to him. Thank you for recognizing this is his way of learning-it has made such a difference in his self-worth, I can tell.

He is no longer content to be passive; he's an active part of life and conversation now. We just can't believe what we're seeing. I saw a glimpse of his personality when he was little, but it went away when he regressed at age three. It is coming back now and he's really 'himself' again. I can tell he's feeling relief that he can connect with us, too. We have happy, relaxed and natural exchanges and that's what's so stunning.

I once heard this about new technologies: "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". Well, I will not ask you how this works, just thank you for the magic and help in any way I can to make this available to other families.

I cannot thank you enough for helping us see all his potential-every day when we see these things we cry tears of joy. Nothing in this world can make us happier than sharing with you our deep appreciation and thanks for bringing your wonderful program (Dr. Granpeesheh) and the techniques that you saw would help (Evelyn Kung) and the wonderful Supervisors and Habilitation women (thanks Sarah and the Phoenix team!)

I see his future so differently now. The cloud has lifted and we feel good again, which is indeed priceless.

Thank you, Thank you Thank you-we can't thank you enough. Please post our comments and share them with our permission. I am so glad I met you all.

See you tomorrow at clinic, Sarah.

Thanks,
